The Annual Canterbury Golf Presidents and Secretaries Day was held at Russley Golf Club on Friday with the course in excellent condition, providing a real challenge for all players.
19 current and past Presidents competed for the G.W.A Green Presidents Cup this year with Canterbury Golf's President Steve Kilpatrick making it back-to-back wins on his home course and retaining the Presidents Cup with 38 stableford points on a countback from Templeton's Shawn Fibbes.
11 Secretary/Managers competed for the G.W.A Green Salver which was won by Rangiora's Sue McFarlane with 37 points with Bottle Lake's Clare Pitt second on 35 points. Steve and Sue are pictured right with their trophies.
The teams bamboozle stableford competition was a very close affair with three teams finishing on 115 points before the team pictured below of, from left Chris Clarke (Kaiapoi), Shawn Fibbes (Templeton), Mike Cross (Kaiapoi) and Tom Wilson (Templeton) won on a countback.
