Canterbury Golf write to MBIE re turf maintenance

This morning Canterbury Golf have written a letter to MBIE (below) supporting New Zealand Golf's application for turf maintenance exemptions. We also copied in our local MP Amy Adams. Canterbury Golf Clubs have also been emailed endorsing NZ Golf's invitation to do the same, and suggesting that members also get involved.

COVID-19 Update - Canterbury Golf Interclub: Women's Interclub cancelled

23 March 2020

Updated 23/3/20, 11amHealth and safety must take priority over any other consideration. As a result of the current COVID-19 precautionary guidelines, and in particular the over 70's recommendation to stay home, a decision has been made in consultation with the Canterbury Golf Women's Committee to cancel all Women's Interclub until further notice. This includes 9 Hole Interclub. Any decision about individual competition outcomes and final results will be made at a later date.  The effect on Men's President's Grade is still being considered. COVID-19: All Canterbury Golf Activity Cancelled

23 March 2020

In the wake of the Government announcement to move to Alert Level 4 all Canterbury Golf activities are cancelled until further notice. This includes interclub, tournaments, events, coaching, and development programmes; and incluides our sub-regions Canterbury Metro, Canterbury North and Canterbury Central and junior interclub. The office is now closed. However staff will continue to work from home, and monitor emails. Phone lines have been diverted to staff cell phones. Canterbury Secondary Schools Golf Championship

Canterbury Sec. Schools Winner 2020 St Andrews LR The Canterbury Secondary Schools Golf Championship was played yesterday at Waitikiri Golf Course in warm, sunny conditions and the course in great order. 37 players from 12 schools in the Canterbury region together with Ashburton and Mount Hutt College enjoyed a great days golf in perfect playing conditions. The best team gross was won by the St Andrews College team of, from left Mika MacDonald, Maddie May, Seb May and Hayden Lam.They were two shots clear of the Burnside High School 1 team of Amy Weng, Jasmine Clancy, Hayato Miya and Yuki MIya.
