Our thoughts are with our friends and the members at Hororata and Greendale Golf Clubs as their courses are devastated by the rain and flooding of recent days.
Not much can be done at the moment but a call will go out later this week for volunteers when the water recedes and a clean up begins.
Update - Hororata are holding working bees on Friday and Saturday (4-5 June) 10am-2pm to clean up debris. All welcome. If possible please bring wheel barrows, open mouth shovels, and your gum boots. You will be fed and watered.
Greendale are still assessing damage and will let us know soon how people can help.
