Established in 1873 Hagley is Canterbury’s oldest Golf Course.
Situated in the heart of Christchurch City, Hagley Golf Course lies just above Lake Victoria in North Hagley Park. 5 min’s walk from the CBD Hagley Golf Course offers golfers a full range of golfing shots. A Privately run Golf Club, Hagley offers a verity of memberships options with special discounts offered for both 1st and 2nd year members (Details at www.hagleygc.org.nz ) We also operate a 12 month programme from the date you join so you can get the full benefit of the discounted offer. Payment options are also available.
Hagley Golf Club was established in 1904 but Hagley Golf course was originally set up around 1873 and at the time was known as Christchurch Golf Club. Although it is only a 12 hole layout, both 12 and 18 hole options are available. The course offers a great test of golf with undulating fairways testing most golfers. The rough at Hagley can prove troublesome to some but keep it straight and you will be rewarded. When playing Hagley make sure you bring your full range of shots as the 5814m par 72 course is a lot harder than it first looks.
Green fee players are welcome every day although Saturday morning the course is reserved for members up till 11.00am with both 12 hole $15 and 18 hole$20 options available Hagley has something for everyone. Bookings are not essential but if you want to guarantee a tee time then give us a call, Parking is available in the Botanic gardens car park and we issue permits for those that may take a little longer.
Hagley would have to be considered one of the friendliest clubs in Canterbury so why not give us a go, you never know you might just catch the bug and want to stay a little longer.
See you on the course.
