The Ashby Bergh Trophy and McGuire Hendon Cup matches were played at Lincoln Golf Club on Sunday in cool, wintery conditions with the course in great order.
The Ashby Bergh Trophy match was between Tai Tapu (Canterbury Central Patterson Cup Winner) and Rangiora Green (Canterbury North Templeton Cup Winner) with the Tai Tapu team of, from left Jason Blair, Scott Ward, Henry Siave, Sean Spencer, Derek Watson and Rod Frewen defeating Rangiora’s Ross Campbell, Eric Crawford, Karl Rollinson, Jim Dwyer, Tony Burgess and Rob Duncan 3.5-2.5 and making it back-to-back victories in the competition for the Canterbury Central club.

The Annual Canterbury North vs Marlborough representative fixture was held at Kaikoura Golf Club on the Sunday.
The Senior Men (pictured right) defeated Marlborough 9-3, winning the morning foursomes 4-0 and the afternoon singles 5-3.
The Intermediate Men defeated Marlborough 7.5-4.5, winning 3.5-.5 in the foursomes and drew their singles 4-4.
An overall win to Canterbury North 16.5-7.5

Canterbury Golf is now seeking expressions of interest for the Manager positions for the 2022 Canterbury Boys & Girls Representative Teams. These are rewarding roles that contribute to the ongoing success of Canterbury Golf.
The purpose of these positions is to assist players to ensure they are supported and managed to perform at their best while representing Canterbury. The available roles and their job descriptions can be found below:

Charteris Bay's long reign as Boyle Cup Champions came to an end yesterday in their 21st defence when they were defeated 3-2 by Amberley in a very close affair with two matches going to the 17th and another to the 18th. Charteris Bay had held the Boyle Cup since defeating Greendale on 13th April 2018 so it will leave a big gap in the club's trophy cabinet.
Amberley will now contact Canterbury clubs to request expressions of interest to challenge for the Boyle Cup and conduct a ballot of those interested.

After the tournament was cancelled last year due to inclement weather the 2022 Golf Warehouse 4BBB Championship was held at the same venue - Pegasus Golf Club. A full field turned out and braved the cold conditions on a well turned out championship layout.
There was some good scoring, none better than former Canterbury Rep Andrew Green who fired a four under par 68 that included a bogey on the par 5 18th hole. Former Canterbury Womens Golf Association (CWGA) President and McLeans Island Life Member Annette Laugesen passed away recently after a brief battle with cancer.
Her contribution to golf in Canterbury started in 1988 when she joined the CWGA as a committee member and remained on the committee until she was elected Vice President in 2000, and then President in 2002 until to 2003. During this time she was also the Canterbury delegate to the New Zealand Women's Golf Council.
Annette was still active playing golf and serving her club up until her passing.

A top field of Canterbury amateurs will turn out for the Golf Warehouse Canterbury 4BBB Championship being held at Pegasus Golf Club this Sunday 19 June.
Demand to play in this championship has been strong with many pairs balloted out of both the men's and women's fields.
The men's title will be hotly contested with a high-quality field. There are seven pairings with a combined "plus" handicap. Central Canterbury stalwart Barry Brownie passed away last Sunday aged 88 years. He contributed significantly to golf in the Canterbury Central region, with the Brownie Cup still played for today in Canterbury Central interclub.
A service to celebrate Barry's wonderful life, will be held at the Akaroa Golf Club, Pawsons Road, Duvauchelle, on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 12.30pm, interment thereafter at The Akaroa Anglican Cemetery, Akaroa.
