Events & Points Table
Click here to view the 2024/2025 Order of Merit events and points allocation.
Points awarded to the top 8 placings in each event.
For Junior Order of Merit points calculations, a player's total points accumulated over the Order of Merit season are divided by the number of 'Counting' events in each age group category as indicated above eg. 6 for U16 Girls and Boys etc.
If a player receives Order of Merit points in more than 6 events (U13 & U16 Boys & U16 Girls) and 10 (U19 Men), their 6 or 10 (U19 Men) best points scores are used for the calculation with the lowest points score being eliminated.
If players are tied the points will be shared, no countback. Points will be rounded to two decimal points.
Junior Order of Merit Titles
The winner of the U16 Girls and U13, U16 Boys and U19 Men's section will receive the Canterbury Junior Order of Merit trophies to be awarded at the CGI Tour Championship.
Order of Merit Conditions 2024/25
- Players are eligible to receive points for the Canterbury Golf Junior Order of Merit provided they are eligible and available to play for Canterbury under the regulations laid down by Canterbury Golf for the 2024/2025 representative season.
- Players must be under age of their category as at 1 January 2025 to be eligible for the Junior Order of Merit section.
- Players are only eligible to receive Order of Merit points in their age group category and not any other categories above their age group, with the exception of U19 Men who are eligible to earn Order of Merit points in the Men's category.
- Please note, if any junior player wishes to play in an age category higher than the current age category they are eligible for (i.e. a U16 player wishing to play in the U19 category), they may contact Canterbury Golf and seek dispensation for this. Please note that players who are granted this dispensation will no longer be able to play for points in their original age category. Dispensations will be at the discretion of Canterbury Golf on a case-by-case basis.
- For points to be allocated there must be a minimum of four eligible players in U16 Boys & U19 Mens sections and two eligible players in the U13 Boys & U16 Girls sections playing the event.
OOM Development Funds
In the interest of wanting to increase the incentive for local players to play in the various OOM events throughout the season, as well as create another avenue to help players’ development, Development Fund prizes are in place for the CGI Tour – OOM. These Development Funds will be awarded to the top-performing players in each category, to read more about this and discover the Development Fund prizes players will be competing for and what they can be used for, read – HERE.
