The Canterbury Men’s Team have finished sixth at the NZ Interprovincial. The team got off to the start that was needed with a 3-2 win over Bay of Plenty following their first round bye. On day two the team were unlucky not to come away with two wins against North Harbour and Hawkes Bay but continued their unbeaten record halving both matches.
Like Canterbury, Manawatu-Wanganui were also looking to gain valuable points to elevate their position on the leaderboard to move into the top two positions in their section. It came down to the wire with Manawatu-Wanganui having the edge 4-1.

The Women's Ringers Tournament sponsored by CRYSTALP Jewellery was played at Weedons Country Club yesterday in fine warm weather and the course in great order.
In the 18 Hole Competition Tai Tapu's Di Stalker and Carol Bates (pictured right), were too strong with 81 stableford points winning by seven points from Ellesmere's Heather McKimmie and Tracey Houston on 74 points with Harewood's Hyeza Kim and Marguerite Leitch third on 71 points. Di Stalker together with Greendale's Crisie Banks had the best individual scores of the day with 44 points.

The NZ Men's Interprovincial gets underway today at the Hastings Golf Club with the countries best six golfers from each province set to play head-to head matchplay to find out who the best province in the country is this year. The 2019 Canterbury Women's Champion of Champions and the district final for the NZ Gross Stableford Rosebowl was held yesterday at Coringa. The course was presented in excellent condition with some short but challenging rough that caught the offline shots. Morning conditions were calm and warm, producing many good scores, but the afternoon wind, heat and difficult gross stableford format caused some form reversals.At the end of the Champions event, Anika Park of Russley and Olive Tapu of Christchurch were all tied up with 154 gross total for the 36 holes. The final round of Canterbury Central Master's Interclub was played at Ellesmere Golf Club yesterday in very warm conditions and the course in great order.
Charteris Bay who had been in good form all competition, just dropping one match to Lincoln, defeated Tai Tapu 5-4 in their final match to win the competition. They were three points clear of their nearest rival Weedons Black who finished second, edging Lincoln on games won.

Canterbury's top junior players had the opportunity to test themselves against the China Junior Team that made the trip to Christchurch to compete at the the second New Zealand-China Junior Golf Competition played at the Pegasus Golf & Sports Club.

New Zealand Golf have named an exciting team to compete in the Asia-Pacific Seniors Championship held at Sungai Long Golf and Country Club in Malaysia.
Two-time defending champion Brent Paterson (Royal Auckland Grange) spearheads the team who wll compete in the event from November 20th – 22nd. He will be joined by John Batley (Titirangi), Peter Brinsdon (Pegasus), Stu Duff (Hastings), and debutants Craig Newman (Nelson), and Tony Chettleburgh (Feilding).

Pollock CupRussley looked to continue their winning ways as they headed into the Pollock Cup finals day as the top seeds and defending champions. In the semi final they finished with a convincing 5.5-0.5 win over Harewood. It was a similar story in the second semi final with Christchurch winning by the same margin against Pegasus.
